Information on How to Host a Mary Meets Mohammad screening

12-Community-Screening-1
Please feel welcome to organise your own screening of Mary Meets Mohammad.

Many organisations and individuals in 2013 organised screenings at community halls, churches, schools, theatres and even a couple of outdoor screenings were held.  It’s a great way to spread the message of Mary and Mohammad and educate our greater Australian community on the very topical subject of asylum seekers.

We need to approve all screenings whether they are free entry or ticketed and you’ll need to follow the online registration process below.

You will need to find a venue, projector, screen and sound system and be 100 per cent responsible for that yourself. You’ll need to decide if you are going to charge for tickets or have a free event. You’ll also need to determine how people can book tickets and whether they do this online or have an email and phone contact to book?

We can help by putting your event on the Mary Meets Mohammad website and Facebook page along with other new screenings. We help by providing you with promotional material Email, Facebook, and poster files you can download and use for your event. A minimum lead-in time of four to six weeks is recommended for larger community screenings so you get plenty of time to promote the event and get a good attendance.

We recommend you do a trial run with the Mary Meets Mohammad DVD or Blu-ray at least a week ahead to iron out any technical hitches ahead of your event.

You need to buy a copy of the Mary Meets Mohammad DVD or Blu-ray for your screening. We have a special offer of a free licence fee to screen any free entry events. For ticketed events, you will be required to sign a contract that sees 70% of ticket sales return to you and 30% to Waratah films. All screenings are required to register here and be approved as the first step.
